With the addition of this new service, Airlink now operates four flights daily from Monday to Saturday, connecting OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg with Maputo International Airport (MPM). On Sundays, the airline will continue to offer two flights, ensuring consistent service throughout the week.
The newly introduced flight departs Johannesburg at 08:05, providing a convenient early morning option for both business and leisure travelers. Passengers will arrive in the vibrant capital of Mozambique at 09:15, ready to explore or conduct business. The return flight from Maputo is scheduled to depart at 09:55, arriving back in Johannesburg at 11:00, ensuring a swift and efficient journey.
This service will be operated by a state-of-the-art 98-seat Embraer ERJ 190 AR aircraft, renowned for its comfort, reliability, and fuel efficiency. Airlink is dedicated to delivering a superior travel experience, and the Embraer ERJ 190 AR exemplifies this commitment.
In addition to the new Maputo service, Airlink has also introduced an extra flight between Johannesburg and Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This service commenced on September 21, 2024, further expanding Airlink’s network across Africa.
The additional Dar es Salaam flight departs Johannesburg every Saturday at 09:40, allowing ample time for travelers to either explore or attend to business in Tanzania’s largest city. The return flight from Dar es Salaam departs at 14:50, arriving back in Johannesburg at 17:35.
